A New Voice for You

At Seattle City Light (SCL) and Seattle Public Utilities (SPU), we believe great service starts with listening to you. We’re introducing our upgraded Customer Care phone system, designed to make it easier for you to connect with us, no matter what language you speak.

When you call, you’ll be guided more smoothly to the right support and can now choose your preferred language right at the start of the call. You can select from: 

  • English 
  • Español (Spanish) 
  • Tiếng Việt (Vietnamese) 
  • 廣東話 (Cantonese) 
  • 普通话/国语 (Mandarin) 
  • Af-Somali (Somali) 
  • Tagalog 
  • 한국어 (Korean) 
  • Plus, an “Other languages” option for additional support 

You can have free interpretation services. With this new system, you’ll be connected directly to help in your preferred language, saving you time and making it easier to get the support you need. 

This update is about more than technology; it’s about you. Every customer deserves to be heard and supported. By expanding our in-language options, we’re strengthening our commitment to equity, respect, and accessibility, and helping build a Seattle where everyone can access essential services with ease and confidence.
