SPU Expands In‑Person Utility Assistance to Seattle Municipal Tower

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is expanding access to Utility Assistance resources with new, in‑person support hours at the Seattle Municipal Tower (SMT). Beginning June 2nd, customers can now speak directly with Utility Assistance staff every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the 4th-floor Customer Service Desk.

These new office hours build on the success of our in-person SPU Connect & Assist events previously held in partnership with the Seattle Public Library. By expanding into the Seattle Municipal Tower, SPU aims to reach more customers where they already visit for city services, making it easier to ask questions, get help with utility discount applications, or learn about bill assistance programs.

What customers can expect:

  • One‑on‑one help completing Utility Discount and Assistance program application
  • Answers to questions about eligibility, required documents, and processing
  • Guidance on additional resources offered by the City of Seattle
  • Friendly staff ready to connect customers with tools that support stable, affordable utility services

SPU remains committed to providing accessible and equitable services for all customers. The new Connect & Assist office hours at SMT are another way we’re working to reduce barriers and ensure our communities have the support they need.
