Get Free CFLs Starting This Weekend

Recycle your compact fluorescent light bulbs and get up to five free.

cflbulbSeattle City Light is partnering with Seattle Public Utilities to bring special energy-saving and CFL recycling events to stores throughout Seattle.

Bring your burned-out compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL) and we’ll replace them with free CFLs (limit five).

About CFL Recycling
Because CFLs contain small amounts of mercury, they must be disposed of and recycled at a local collection site and not thrown in the trash. There are many convenient locations that recycle CFLs for free, including Bartell Drugs, Home Depot, Lowes Home Improvement, McLendon Hardware and Seattle City Light’s North and South Service Centers.
