About CFL Recycling
Because CFLs contain small amounts of mercury, they must be disposed of and recycled at a local collection site and not thrown in the trash. There are many convenient locations that recycle CFLs for free, including Bartell Drugs, Home Depot, Lowes Home Improvement, McLendon Hardware and Seattle City Light’s North and South Service Centers.
