Join the Daylong “Wondering about Wildlife” Program
Get outside and learn about the wildlife of the Cedar River Watershed through hands-on activities, crafts, wildlife presentations, and nature walks during the winter school break. Discover which wildlife communities live within Seattle’s largest protected watershed – the source of most of our drinking water.

All-day presentations and activities:
– Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Karelian Bear Dogs: Meet the dogs who keep wild animals in the wild!
– Family nature walks: Rattlesnake Lake shore exploration.
– Wildlife craft activities: bird feeders, animal tracks, clay sculpture—and more!
– Examine owl pellets and discover what was for breakfast.
– Explore the Center’s Water is Magic exhibits.
WHERE: The Cedar River Watershed Education Center, just east of North Bend (32 miles from downtown Seattle).
DIRECTIONS: From I-90 going east, take Exit 32 (436th Avenue SE). Turn right at the end of the off-ramp. Follow the road (436th Avenue SE/Cedar Falls Road SE) for about 3.5 miles. The Cedar River Watershed Education Center will be on the right, just past Rattlesnake Lake.
