Rattlesnake Ledge Geology Hike

Come and explore the ancient volcano, glacial ice, melt water floods, and underground rivers that shaped the land and waterways of the Cedar River Watershed. This moderately strenuous interpretive hike (round-trip 4 miles, elevation gain of 1,200 feet) begins at the trailhead and ends at the summit of Rattlesnake Ledge and will take participants through a variety of landforms to one of the most spectacular vistas in the region. This program is ideal for families.

Bring water and snack. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
