Once a year opportunity to explore deep into watershed
Visit, explore, and absorb the dramatic wetlands of the Cedar River Watershed on an all-day guided van and hiking tour on Saturday May 21, 9 am –4 pm.
You will hike to some of the most spectacular and pristine wetland systems in the region, including a rare 80-acre fen (Eagle Ridge Meadow), the unusual 14 Lakes “kettle” wetland complex, and a forested bog in the Rock Creek basin.
Participants should bring a lunch, water, dress for the weather, wear sturdy walking shoes or rubber boots, and be prepared for challenging and uneven terrain.
