Wondering About Wildlife event on December 29
Enjoy and learn about wildlife of the Cedar River Watershed through hands-on activities, crafts, wildlife presentations, and nature walks. Join us during your winter school break and learn about wildlife that could be living in your backyard. Youth groups are welcome and are encouraged to call ahead.
WHEN: Wednesday December 29, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Drop-in Program: FREE (Free snacks & drinks. Children must be accompanied by an adult.)

10:15 am: Meet Mishka: The dog who keeps wild animals in the wild!
10:30 am: Family Nature Walk: Animal homes and tracks at Rattlesnake Lake
11:15 am: Meet Mishka: The dog who keeps wild animals in the wild!
12:15 pm: Family Nature Walk: Animal homes and tracks at Rattlesnake Lake
1:00 pm: Meet Mishka: The dog who keeps wild animals in the wild!

All day:
- Wildlife craft activities: bird feeders, skulls and scat, animal masks—and more!
- Dissect owl pellets and discover what was for breakfast.
- Visit interactive wildlife booths hosted by: PAWS, Grizzly Bear Outreach Project, Upper Snoqualmie Valley Elk Management Group, and Bats Northwest.
- Explore the Water is Magic exhibits for Watershed wildlife.
WHERE: The Cedar River Watershed Education Center, just east of North Bend (32 miles from downtown Seattle).
DIRECTIONS: From I-90 going east, take Exit 32 (436th Avenue SE). Turn right at the end of the off-ramp. Follow the road (436th Avenue SE/Cedar Falls Road SE) for about 3.5 miles. The Cedar River Watershed Education Center will be on the right, just past Rattlesnake Lake.
