Did you know that in Seattle on any given week more than half of subscribers are putting their food and yard waste carts out for collection and that 3 out of every 4 carts have food scraps in them?
Composting is big in Seattle!
What better way to express this passion than by taking part in the U.S. Composting Council’s 2011 International Compost Awareness Week Poster Contest?

There will also be prizes for age divisions, including grades 3-7, grades 7-12, and college – adult. Winners in these groups will receive a $100 prize.
