It’s almost that time of year again, when salmon make their way home to spawn and renew their life cycle. The more eyes watching, the better!
Salmon Watchers spend 15 minutes twice a week during the fall observing Seattle creeks, counting the returning salmon. The data collected are used by agencies and groups working to help restore endangered salmon runs and improve habitat for all salmon. Your work as a Salmon Watcher is invaluable!
How can I become a Salmon Watcher?
Attend the Wednesday, September 29 training at Northgate Community Center, from 7 pm – 9 pm. You’ll learn about salmon identification and choose a place to watch from among hundreds of established creek sites in and around Seattle. No is experience necessary.
