Boil water advisory lifted for North Capitol Hill neighborhood

The boil water advisory for a north Capitol Hill neighborhood has been lifted. The advisory came after a water main break on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The main has been repaired, the water has been tested and found to be safe, and services have returned to normal.

A more detailed map of the affected area is here: Boil Water Advisory Area. Customers no longer need to boil their water before drinking it or using it to prepare food.   For questions or concerns, customers should call 206-386-1800.

All those affected will be receiving an automated call from Seattle Public Utilities notifying them that the advisory has been lifted.

The informal advisory is a routine procedure anytime there has been a significant disruption of service to ensure there are no contaminants in the water.
