An Increase in Clogged Sewer Lines Across the Country, a Good Reminder to Protect Your Pipes!

Many of us are spending more and more time at home these days. With that, comes more time in everyone’s favorite part of the home, the bathroom.

To keep yourself from having to experience the frustration that comes with a clogged or backed up sewer line, there’s really one simple rule you need to follow: only flush human waste and toilet paper. That’s it! It’s as easy as that.

OK to Flush:

  • Human Waste
  • Toilet Paper

Not OK to Flush

  • Wipes (Even if labeled “flushable”)
  • Paper towels and tissue paper (These products are designed to stay together when wet and do not break down in the sewer system)
  • Tampons and other sanitary products
  • Dental Floss
  • Diapers
  • Medicine – Dispose of properly at a secure drop-off location
  • Cotton swabs
  • Anything else
