February 8, 2017—Residential solid waste collections are on a revised schedule this week, due to weather events.
- Most Monday customers’ garbage, recycling, and food/yard waste was collected yesterday (Tuesday, Feb. 7).
- Monday customers in West Seattle: Due to higher snowfall amounts and continued icy conditions, residential garbage, recycling or food/yard waste pickup was postponed in this area again yesterday. Monday customers in West Seattle should put out materials on their next regularly scheduled pick up day as described below.
- Tuesday residential customers’ garbage, recycling, and food/yard waste will be collected today (Wednesday), weather and road conditions permitting.
- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday customers’ services will be delayed one day this week. (Friday customers will receive service on Saturday.)
For Monday residential customers in West Seattle or other customers not serviced this week due to icy roads, please put containers out on your next regularly scheduled pickup day. (This includes recycling even if next Monday isn’t your usual recycling collection day.) Customers missed this week will be allowed to set out double their normal amount of garbage, recycling and yard waste at no additional charge, on their next scheduled collection day. Please use extra bags or boxes for the additional materials.
