Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) emergency repair crew responded to an overflow near the on-ramp to I-5 Southbound at Mercer Street Friday, Sept. 2. A bypass and pump system is in place and traffic is moving in one lane around the equipment. SPU anticipates the bypass equipment will be in place through Friday, Sept. 16, while crews investigate the line and assess what type of permanent repair is needed.
