The City of Seattle reLeaf’s Trees for Neighborhoods program helps Seattle residents plant trees around their homes. Through Trees for Neighborhoods, participants receive free trees, free watering bags, training on proper tree planting and long-term care, and ongoing care reminders. If you have the space in your yard, consider planting one of this year’s evergreen species. Evergreens provide our city with so many benefits including soaking up rainwater, cleaning our air, and keeping the city green. You can plant your very own evergreen—apply today for a Douglas fir or shore pine! Apply here.
