Do you have an old appliance or mattress lying around? Call Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) Customer Service at 206-684-3000 to request a bulky item collection. Customers must be authorized to make charges on the SPU utility account.
Bulky item charges
Charges for bulky item collections will appear on your utility bill:
- $30 per item.
- $38 per item for items containing CFCs (such as refrigerators). Note: You may be eligible for Seattle City Light’s $30 rebate and free pickup of your older, secondary, working refrigerator.
Schedule a pickup of old electronics
Many electronics, especially TVs and computers, contain toxic materials and are banned from the garbage. You can also schedule a convenient curbside collection of these items, too. Charges will appear on your utility bill:
- $20 per pickup (3 item limit)
