Whether you spent your summer camping, gardening, painting or doing other home improvement projects, you likely have some leftover household hazardous waste.
Keep your family and pets safe—don’t leave unused propane, paint thinner or pesticides lying around the house this winter. Dispose of it properly at no charge at any local household hazardous waste (HHW) facility
HHW facilities accept propane and butane tanks up to 5 gallons in size.
Oil-based paint and stains should go to HHW facilities. Leftover latex paint? Dry it up with kitty litter and then place it in your garbage with the lid off.
Find HHW locations and learn more at www.lhwmp.org or call 206-296‑4692.
