Get a bag of free compost and a chance to compete for $6,000 in prizes at the Big Dig, 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at Seattle Tilth’s Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands.
Hosted by garden expert Ciscoe Morris, 20 lucky drawing winners will have a chance to dig for treasure under a mountain of compost. Prizes include gift certificates to restaurants, gardening stores and a $3,000 garden makeover.
The Big Dig is part of Compost Days, a celebration of Seattle’s food and yard waste composting success by offering the biggest discounts of the year on compost and kitchen scrap composting products.
