Seattle Public Utilities is mailing out its 2012 garbage, recycling, food and yard waste single-family collection calendars this week.
The guide has information on when your collection day is, what can be recycled and composted, as well as tips and advice on properly disposing hazardous waste and hard-to-recycle items.
Please check your mailbox, then read and post it in a prominent area for your family to use.

Businesses and multi-family properties will receive their 2012 calendars in March.
