If you’re like a lot of people, you may have fried your turkey for Thanksgiving. If you have that oil still lying around, you can feel better by recycling it.
General Biodiesel has installed collection tanks around Seattle where you can dump your used cooking oil any time of day and week. It will get a second life as biodiesel fuel, which the company creates. All you have to do is pour it in.
Collection sites:
Georgetown / SODO
- General Biodiesel (tank is located along the river side of the building)
- Republic Services
Madison Park
- Bert’s Red Apple (tank is in the alley behind the store)
Shoreline (for North Seattle residents)
- Central Market (tank is located to the right of the main front doors)
