Madison Valley’s Herlecia is the final winner in our “show us your pictures” competition. In her own words, Herlecia describes how she stores her kitchen food scraps before they go in the curbside food and yard waste cart:
“I purchase organic greens that come in plastic boxes. Once the greens are gone (first picture) I use the empty containers for recycling my food scraps (picture two). Since it fits on the kitchen counter, it’s easy to peel items or scrape plates directly into the container. Once it’s full, it gets dumped, washed and reused.”
