The Ship Canal Cleanup, now in its 15th year, needs volunteers with small boats (rowboats, skiffs, kayaks).
Volunteers will use scoop nets, rakes and ingenuity to collect things that don’t belong in our waterways. The cleanup will be from the Ballard Locks to the Fremont Bridge on Saturday, May 21, from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
All participants must sign a release. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Participants will meet at Dock 10 of Fisherman’s Terminal for instructions before beginning. Coffee and donuts will be waiting for you.
Preregister today! The Seattle Marine Business Coalition will treat preregistered volunteers to a seafood barbecue at noon.
