Volunteer to Plant Trees Along the Cedar River

Join the Friends of the Cedar River Watershed and plant native trees and shrubs along the Cedar River in Maple Valley on Saturday, February 13, from 10 a.m.  to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided by Seattle Public Utilities. Please sign up in advance by emailing nisa@cedarriver.org.

Friends of the Cedar River Watershed is a private, non-profit organization incorporated in 1996 and dedicated to the protection and restoration of the Cedar River Watershed, an ecological preserve that is the source of drinking water for more than a million greater Seattle area residents.

Seattle is one of only half a dozen cities its size in North America to use a protected wilderness to supply clean and affordable water.
