SPU Congratulates New Journey-Level Graduates

Two years, 4,000 hours of on-the-job training and 288 hours of night classes. This is the grueling schedule that twenty-four members of the 2009 graduating class of SPU apprentices celebrated as they received journey-level status at a special graduating ceremony at the Seattle Center on September 11.

Altogether, 12 drainage and wastewater apprentices and 10 water pipeworker apprentices graduated. Joining them were an additional 12 graduates from the Drainage and Wastewater Challenge program, which is offered to existing employees who want to improve their knowledge and also obtain a journey level card from the state of Washington.  Congratulations Graduates!
