Get FREE Trees – Trees for Neighborhoods application opens online Monday, August 3 at 10 a.m.

Plant Wonder T4N taglineTrees for Neighborhoods helps Seattle residents plant trees around their homes to clean our air and water. Since 2009, Trees for Neighborhoods has helped residents plant over 5,300 trees in yards and along streets. That’s 5,300 more trees working to clean our air and water, make our streets more walkable, and our neighborhoods healthier.

Participants receive:

  • Up to 4 free trees per household. We offer a variety of small, medium, and large trees appropriate under power lines, along the street, and in the yard. Click here to view the 2015 tree list.
  • A watering bag for each tree
  • Mulch for each tree
  • Training on proper planting and care
  • Assistance applying for street tree planting permits
  • Ongoing care reminders and future pruning workshop opportunities

Visit the Trees for Neighborhood website for more information about how to sign up. The website also includes information about how to identify optimal planting sites on your property.
